Description
Vintage old sleepy eye blue and white pitcher. The pottery is decorated with the profile of a Sioux Indian chief (1780-1860) who had a conspicuous drooping eyelid. The piece is one of many premiums created to advertise flour made at the Sleepy Eye Milling Co., founded in 1883 at the town of Sleepy Eye, Minnesota. 8” tall by 8 ½” handle to spout by 6” wide.
